Notes
Note: 1
Susannah Baker:
One problem I have is at the time of the marriage between John Collard and Sarah Baker, Sarah is down as a spinster and her father was William Baker (marriage certificate in Sarah Baker record), but by all of her daughters Susannah Baker marriages her father was Robert, so I do not know if all the information on Sarah marriage is correct.

Stan Baker
Sarah Collard (Baker) is also my 3rd great grandmother. An examination of the time line offers a solution to Stan's question.
Sarah (Ann) Baker was born either in 1820 or 1823. John Collard was baptised in 1820.
Sarah's daughter Susannah was born in 1843
John Collard married Sarah (Ann) Baker in 1846.
Therefore, Susannah was born illegitimate and took her mother's surname, Baker. When she got married she named her father as "Robert" and the vicar assumed he was "Robert Baker" but this was almost definitely not the case. Who "Robert" was I do not know; did Susannah know who her father was, or did she invent the name? There is no evidence to suggest that Sarah (Ann) had been married before she married John Collard.
As Stan has documented, Susannah had many marriages and may have been guilty of bigamy.
Sarah Collard (Baker) is my 3rd Great Grandmother, her daughter Susannah had a illegitimate Son John James Baker, (before she married Archibald Fannen), my Great, Great Grandfather, He married Emily Davison, and one of their son's John James Baker married Catherine Thompson, and their son Thomas Stanley Baker is my father.

Stan Baker

Stan died in 2023, but has left a legacy of considerable information about his ancestors. I've copied most of the top level records to my record of John James Baker but this needs to be transferred to Gramps.
There is a census record for 3 Apr 1911 when JJ was at sea on the Lady Londonderry. He also appears to have been injured during WWI.
Interesting that his death records are as JJ Fannen (or similar).
John James and Emily had 10 children. Their son John James is a person of interest for ww2.
